Finance Manager (Cost Control and Budgeting)

Role Overview:
The Finance Manager – Cost Control & Budgeting is responsible for overseeing the group’s budgeting, cost control and financial performance management activities across all entities. The role provides group-level oversight of the annual budgeting process, rolling forecasts, cost performance and expenditure controls.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the group annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning process.
Consolidate and review budgets and forecasts across group entities and functions.
Monitor actual performance against budget and forecast, highlighting key variances and cost drivers.
Prepare regular management reports and financial analysis for senior management.
Monitor operating and capital expenditure against approved budgets.
Review the significant costs, spending requests and budget assumptions.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and better resource utilisation.
Work with business and finance teams to improve budget ownership and cost accountability.
Prepare financial analysis and business cases to support major spending and investment decisions.
Maintain effective budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting processes across the Group.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting, consolidation, or group finance roles.
Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and financial performance analysis.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
Occasional travel to Group offices and operation of entities, as required.
Experience working in multi-entity, multi-currency group environments.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work with senior management, banks and external advisers.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with strong ownership and accountability.
Fluency in spoken and written English and Chinese.
